After the wood is selected, it is kiln dried to ensure optimum moisture content. The denser wood used creates less chance of splintering and more chance for big hits. A pro cupped end is added to control the weight of the bat and give players ideal swing speed. The 288MB features a 288 turning model that was made famous by Mr. October, Reggie Jackson. This turn features a large 2 1/2 inch barrel to give players more hitting area to blast home runs with. The 288MB also has a 31/32 inch handle with a slightly flared knob that produce an extremely comfortable feel. A black finish is the final piece that completes this Big Stick wood bat.
