I'm selling my PowerBoss portable generator with it's enclosure, exhaust fan and non-fusible disconnect. All manuals are included.
The generator is 8600 starting watts, 5600 running watts.
The motor is a Briggs & Stratton 10 hp OHV. It's a “pull start”. With less than 20 hours of use.
After EVERY use, I changed the oil, drained the remainder of gas.
Then I'd add about a pint of gas with stabilizer and run the generator until it ran out of gas.
All that it needs to run, is gas (it holds 7 gal.). Open the fuel valve, move the throttle to “run”, turn on the switch, and it'll start, within a few pulls!!! (usually 1 - 3)
APPROXIMATE run-time:
13 hours on 50% load (2800 watts)
6-1/2 hours on full load (5600 watts).
It has enough power to run everything in my house lights, refrigerator, freezer, TV's, computers, fans, 110v window air conditioners, clothes washer, etc.
But NOT including the 220v. and higher items, like the electric water heater or electric stove or whole house air conditioner.
Actually, I was told, it could run some 220v items, but you'd have to shut down enough 110v items to allow enough power.
The generator fits nicely in the lockable Suncast enclosure from Lowes.
The enclosure has a fan, that you plug into the generator. And I've added a shutter exhaust louver that stays closed when the fan is not running. And opens when the fan is running. To help vent exhaust.
I am also including a non-fusible disconnect, that plugs into the generator 220v.
Some people connect them to their main electrical panel in the house.
This is only recommended for people that have a full understanding of how to use the “breaker” in the electrical panel!!!!!!
IF YOU ARE NOT POSITIVE, THAT YOU KNOW HOW TO DO IT, “DON'T”!!!!!

They can definitely cool a room!!!!
